Biography

Andy began his career with the office in 1983. Since that time, he has first chaired numerous jury trials throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia, winning substantial seven and eight figure verdicts on behalf of asbestos disease victims over the course of the last 30 years.

Andy was one of the triaI attorneys in the Abate I asbestos consolidated trial in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City involving over 8,500 Marylanders, likely the largest consolidated trial in the history of the United States. He was also a lead trial attorney in a 6 month mass groundwater contamination case filed on behalf of citizens of Jacksonville, Maryland against Exxon Mobil Corporation, and was involved in numerous consolidated cases against 3M for its manufacture and distribution of defective combat earplugs. He has also tried cases in other jurisdictions, including Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

Andy has testified before the Maryland state legislature on matters involving asbestos litigation, and has worked with attorneys from across the United States to oppose federal legislation that would have destroyed the rights of citizens to sue for injuries sustained as a result of asbestos exposure. He has worked with numerous experts in the fields of pathology, occupational, medicine, toxicology and pulmonary medicine over the course of his career.
