Biography
Matt Blaustein originally joined the Law Offices of Peter G. Angelos in 2007 and has represented countless individuals since. He began his legal career as a legal assistant, filing and processing claims on behalf of victims who were exposed to asbestos-containing materials against various manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of these products. While in law school, Matt became a member of a litigation team as a paralegal, and later as a law clerk.
Matt has successfully argued and has tried both civil and criminal cases, including bench trials and jury trials throughout the State of Maryland, and has successfully defended cases on appeal in the Appellate Court of Maryland as well as the Supreme Court of Maryland.
Matt takes pride in his research and has had the opportunity to work with many clients and their families and co-workers to develop a work history, and developing asbestos product identification and exposure both pre-trial and trial.
In addition to litigation, Matt is currently the managing attorney of the Peter Angelos Law Asbestos Bankruptcy Unit and oversees the claims process on behalf of individuals who have filed claims with various trusts that have emerged from bankruptcy against formerly bankrupt Defendants.
