Recent Securities Litigation Cases
Most recently, securities litigation attorneys are counsel to the lead plaintiff in class action cases against Mercury Interactive Corporation, American Tower Corporation and Monster Worldwide Incorporated. The plaintiffs allege in those cases that some of companies' present and former officers and directors:
- Improperly backdated company stock option grants; and
- Made materially false and misleading statements to the public about (a) the company's financial results and (b) option grant policies and accounting.
As a result, investors sustained damages. Two of these cases have recently settled. In Mercury Interactive we were able to negotiate one of the largest recoveries, $117.5 million, in a backdating case. In the American Tower case we were successful in negotiating a favorable settlement in principle on behalf of shareholders and other class members, in the amount of $14 million.
From our offices in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware, we represent unions, municipalities and pension funds nationwide that have sustained financial damages as a result of securities fraud. If you believe you have a securities fraud claim, please call or email us today. We will be glad to give you a free case evaluation. We hope to work with you soon.
